The NC Absolute Eight’s Eric Peddie will try to solidify his MVP status against the Changwon Kia on Aug. 26. At the time, the KIA bats were at their peak. The power of the complete batting lineup, now a memory, was immense. On top of that, Pedi’s condition was not good. Peddie then bounced back to his best. In his next three starts, he went 3-0 with a 0.42 ERA. There’s another record that Pedi could really covet. Only Sun Dong-yeol did it in 1986: 20 wins, a sub-1 ERA, and 200 strikeouts. Of the seven times a pitcher has achieved 20 wins, a 1.00 ERA, and 200 strikeouts, only Seon Dong-yeol did it in 1986.
