Second Monday Game Schedule Doosan-KIA to Play 8 Games in a Row with No Rest Days from April 17-24
It’s fall and it’s raining. Especially in the south.
The Korea Meteorological Administration issued a heavy rain warning on Saturday, predicting up to 200 millimeters or more of precipitation in parts of the southern coastal region, and the 2023 KBO schedule was once again disrupted by rain.
The Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) announced that four games scheduled to start at 5 p.m. that day – Samsung Lions-NC Dinos (Changwon NC Park), Kiwoom Heroes-Lotte Giants (Sajik Stadium), Doosan Bears-KIA Tigers (Gwangju Kia Champions Field), and KT Wiz-Korea Eagles (Daejeon Hanwha Life Eagles Park) – have been canceled due to rain.
This marks the second time since the start of the season that a Monday game will be played. The KBO has scheduled the Doosan-KIA game for the same venue on the 18th.
For this reason, Doosan and KIA will have to play an eight-game series from the 17th to the 24th without a single day off. The two teams are in a tight race for fifth place, and the rain has changed the back-to-back schedule.메이저놀이터
KT-Hanwha will also play on Monday, the 18th. Kiwoom-Lotte is scheduled for the 19th.
The KBO has a lot to worry about with the increasing number of rainouts. It has already finished organizing the remaining games of the season, so there is no reserve day.
As a result, the rain-canceled Samsung-NC game will be rescheduled at a later date. Meanwhile, the only KBO game on the 16th will be the SSG Landers-LG Twins matchup at Jamsil Stadium.
As of 4 p.m., Jamsil Stadium is cloudy but not raining. However, the probability of precipitation is forecast to be over 80 percent.
