KT Wiz pitcher Park Young-hyun, who currently holds the top spot in saves, could win the title in his second year.

He has already appeared in 60 games and pitched 63⅓ innings this year, posting a 3-3 record with four saves, 28 holds, and a 3.13 ERA. In the absence of closer Kim Jae-yoon, Young-hyun’s role is to close games.

KT manager Lee Kang-cheol said on Wednesday, “Kim Jae-yoon definitely pitches better when he rests. Park Young-hyun and Son Dong-hyun, if they rest a lot, they lose their feel. I think it’s because they’re still young and don’t have anything of their own.”
